Full time or Part time Undergraduate and Graduate positions available Resumes considered year round. Education: Currently enrolled at a University. Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, which may include other internships, in a business or nonprofit enterprise, involving client contact, research and analysis, written communication and/or social media Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Researching information for specific client campaigns • Developing and maintaining contact databases • Supporting the planning and execution of online events, panels, and webinars • Supporting the layout, design, and distribution of a monthly e-newsletter • Social media support; including content creation and managing campaign profiles • Event planning and logistics support • Research support; including new business and outreach prospects. • Limited administrative duties Candidate Qualifications: Ideal candidates should be in the 3rd or 4th year of pursuing their BA (for undergrad internship consideration) or currently enrolled in a Masters program (for graduate internship consideration) with a strong interest in media, grassroots activism, and affecting social change. • Strong research, writing, and computer skills • Strong interest and experience in social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) • Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines • Attention to detail and pride in one’s work • Experience in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work as part of a team Schedule: Flexible, 10-40 hours/week, meeting the needs of the mutually-agreed work plan Compensation: Unpaid; applicant must be eligible to receive academic credit To Apply: Interested parties should submit to info@causeaffect.com: (1) Cover letter, outlining both the interest in and suitability for this position; (2) Chronological resume, including specific dates and results for each significant work and volunteer role, and educational study; (3) Sample of written communication from a non-confidential work experience or similar; and (4) Salary history.
